  • A valid, physical driver’s license is strictly required for all participants who wish to drive the buggy cars.
  • This private activity accommodates a maximum of 10 travelers per booking.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • This tour operates in various winter weather conditions, so please dress appropriately. However, because the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon dependent on clear skies, if the tour is canceled due to severe weather or completely overcast skies, you will be offered an alternative date or a full 100% refund.
  • This experience is not wheelchair accessible. Both paper and electronic vouchers are accepted at check-in.

What do I need to bring

  • A valid driver's license (for drivers).
  • Sturdy outdoor shoes or boots.
  • Heavy, warm clothes to wear under the water-resistant suit (thermal base layers, wool, or thick fleece are highly recommended for the night chill).
  • A camera with manual settings (or a smartphone with night mode) and a tripod to capture the spectacular aurora moments!

Cancellation policy

  • A 100% cancellation fee applies if the booking is cancelled 2 days (48 hours) or less before the scheduled event.

Minimum age of participants

  • Passengers: 7 years old.
  • Drivers: 17 years old (with a valid driver's license).

Tour guide language

  • English and Icelandic.

Cut off on booking

  • 6 hours prior to departure.

  • No prior buggy or off-road driving experience is required. Driving at night adds a fun and unique twist, but the tracks are highly accessible and family-friendly.
